Privacy policy

The short version
Your files never leave your device. We run no analytics, set no cookies, and have no accounts — there is nothing to collect. The only party that technically sees anything is our host (Cloudflare), which serves the page like any website.
Your files
Photos and videos you convert with Convertmaxxing are never uploaded, transmitted, or stored by us. All conversion happens locally in your browser. Your files stay on your device, are processed in your device's memory, and are gone when you close the tab. We have no server that could receive them, and you can verify this yourself in your browser's network inspector: convert something and watch — no upload happens.
The optional “strip metadata” feature removes EXIF data (such as GPS location and camera details) from your converted images — also entirely on your device. Nothing about your files, not even their names, ever reaches us.
What we collect today
Nothing. The site runs no analytics, sets no cookies, uses no fingerprinting, and stores nothing about you in your browser beyond the ordinary page cache — the conversion engine downloads once and your browser caches it like any other file, so repeat visits are fast. Clearing your browser cache removes it; there is no other trace.
Hosting
The site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes standard technical request data — such as IP addresses and user-agent strings — transiently to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. That data is handled under Cloudflare's privacy policy; we don't receive or keep request logs ourselves.
Advertising (planned)
To keep Convertmaxxing free, we plan to introduce display advertising in the future. When that happens, this policy will be updated first, and where required you will be asked for consent before any ad cookies or identifiers are used. Two things will remain true regardless: ads will never see or touch your files (which never leave your device), and you will never be required to watch or click an ad to use the converter.
Changes to this policy
If our data practices ever change — for example when advertising arrives — we will update this page before the change takes effect and adjust the “last updated” date above. We won't quietly weaken the promises made here; the never-upload architecture is the product, not a policy choice.
