Your files

Images, videos, and audio you convert with Convertmaxxing are never uploaded, transmitted, or stored by us. All conversion happens locally in your browser. Smaller results are held in memory. Large video and audio jobs may write temporary results to this site's private browser storage on your device. Removing or clearing a result requests deletion of its temporary file. Leftovers after closing a tab are cleaned up when the media engine next starts; you can also delete them through your browser's site-data settings. Files you download remain wherever you save them.

The optional “strip metadata” feature removes EXIF data (such as GPS location and camera details) from your converted images — also entirely on your device. Nothing about your files, not even their names, ever reaches us.

Browser storage and link imports

The site does not set tracking cookies or use fingerprinting. Your light or dark theme choice is saved locally under “maxx-theme”. Page assets and conversion engines may be cached by your browser. Clearing site data removes the saved theme and temporary outputs; clearing cached files removes cached assets.

External requests

The site loads its typeface from Google Fonts, so your browser contacts fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com. Like other network requests, these expose connection information such as your IP address to the recipient. Your conversion files are not sent with these font requests.

If you use “Paste a link”, your browser requests that file directly from the host in the link. That host receives the URL and connection information. We do not proxy or store the file. This is optional; choosing a file already on your device does not contact its source.

Hosting

The site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes standard technical request data — such as IP addresses and user-agent strings — to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. That data is handled under Cloudflare's privacy policy; we don't receive or keep request logs ourselves.

Advertising

This version of Convertmaxxing is ad-free. If display advertising is introduced in the future, this policy will be updated first, and where required you will be asked for consent before any ad cookies or identifiers are used. Two things will remain true regardless: ads will never see or touch your files (which never leave your device), and you will never be required to watch or click an ad to use the converter.

Changes to this policy

If our data practices ever change — for example if advertising is introduced — we will update this page before the change takes effect and adjust the “last updated” date above. We won't quietly weaken the promises made here; the never-upload architecture is the product, not a policy choice.
