There is one address, a person reads it, and you will get a reply. Convertmaxxing is a small independent project, so we would rather answer a real email than route you through a support portal.
We aim to reply within two business days. Bug reports and format requests are read even when they do not get an individual response, and they are the main reason the format list has grown.
What to include
Something is broken
A file that will not convert is the most useful bug report we get. Tell us the source format, the target format, your browser and version, and the exact wording of any error the converter showed you. If the file is not private, a link to a copy helps enormously — video bugs in particular are usually specific to how one camera or one editor wrote the file, and we cannot reproduce what we cannot open.
A format we do not support
We keep a running list of requested formats and it genuinely drives what gets built next. Worth knowing before you write: some gaps are permanent rather than unfinished. We cannot write HEIC (no encode delegate exists in our engine, for patent reasons) and we do not handle PDF at all. Requests for formats we could plausibly add — animated GIF, more RAW variants, additional audio codecs — are the ones that move.
Privacy and data questions
The short answer is that your files are never transmitted anywhere, because conversion runs inside your own browser and there is no upload step to intercept. You can verify that yourself with your browser network tab open. For anything the privacy policy does not answer — analytics, advertising, or a formal data request — write to us and we will answer in specifics rather than boilerplate.
Press, partnerships, and licensing
Convertmaxxing is an independent project, not a venture-backed startup with a press office, but we are happy to answer questions about how the browser-side conversion pipeline works, what WebAssembly makes possible, or how the site is built. Use the same address and mention what you are working on.
Who you are writing to
Convertmaxxing is built and maintained by HYPEWORKS, an independent software studio. The site has no accounts, no newsletter, and no sales team, which means email is the only channel — and also that nobody is going to add you to a mailing list for using it.
Before writing, the about page covers how the conversion pipeline works and why nothing is uploaded, and the privacy policy covers what is and is not collected. Those two answer most of what arrives in the inbox.
